The setup guide provides step by step guidelines and instructions on connecting the SuccessFactors account with the Harver that will allows you to invite candidates to an assessment and see the candidate results in the SuccessFactors.

Instructions before enabling Integrations
Before enabling integrations, make sure you have;
- The requisitions in ATS and vacancies in Harver are configured.
- The information provided by the SuccessFactors that includes CompanyCode, UserName, Password, Client ID and Private key.
- Candidate Return URL: For Candidate better candidate experience when doing Inline Assessment, in Harver platform add the SuccessFactors applicant return URL in Harver End Page configuration provided by the SuccessFactors so candidate can be redirected to SuccessFactors to continue the application. See End Page for more details.
Harver Integration Configuration Steps
Login to Harver platform to perform below steps. You must be a Harver Admin to be able to complete all these step.
- In Harver platform, go to Integration Menu tab and clicks Add new integrations. Select the SuccessFactors MarketPlace from drop down and Clicks Add Integrations.
- This will start configuring the integration and progress will be shown. Once completed, click on Continue to Overview.
- In the General section, only ATS First Inline integration pattern is supported so will be enabled by default.

Then go to section Credentials, and in Harver to ATS tab, click Edit ATS credentials and configure;

Base URL, API base URL

Company Code,
-
Username, username associated with the API account
-
Password, password associated with the API account

Client ID, This is the API Key that was generated in API Center, if Oauth is enabled.

Private Key, key used to sign SAML assertion, if Oauth is enabled.

- Then go to ATS to Harver tab and you will see the Harver generated Username and Password which you will need to configure in SuccessFactors.
- Next, click ATS to Harver in the side bar and click the edit button. In the Edit screen, enable the Application Status toggle and add the ATS Status id which you can get from Successfactors. This is optional and is needed in order to move the candidate to next status when candidate is invited to the assessment.

Next, click Harver to ATS in the side bar. In the Assessments tab, click edit assessments in order to configure following optional parameters if needed;

Assessment in Progress: Enable status and enter the ATS field name and ATS Value.

Assessment Completed: Enable status and enter the ATS field name and ATS Value.

Assessment Results: Enter the Matching Score and Matching label.

Assessment Completed: Enable reports and enter the ATS field name and ATS file name.

In same Harver to ATS section, click Application tab and select the Edit Application button to configure;

Application Status: Enter the ATS field name.

Matching Score: Enter the ATS field name and ATS value.

Matching Indicator: Enable the matching indicator label or score to send to ATS custom fields.

- Once all steps and configurations are completed, go back to General section and enable the integration using toggle.
If enabling integration fails, error will be shown. Please fix particular issue to enable the integrations successfully.
Note: that incase you want to discontinue with ATS or disable integration due to some reason, same configuration toggle is used to disable the integration with ATS.
SuccessFactors Integration Configuration Steps

To enable the integration in SuccessFactors ATS, follow below steps;
Start Provisioning Settings
- In Successfactors account, go to the Provisioning Company Settings
- Under Recruiting settings, ensure that Assessment Integration is enabled as shown below.
- Scroll up to the top of the Recruiting section and click on Save. You will be prompted to input your company ID provided by the SuccessFactors.
Adding the Harver Assessment Vendor file
- Go to Tools within Admin Center and search Management Assessment Vendors.
- Click and export the csv file to make the changes.
- Add HARVER as new vendor ID, change the active column to “Y” and re-import. The following fields are mandatory: externalPartnerCode, clientId and active (Y/N).
- Import the file after updates and submit.
Upload Vendor Assessment Packages
Package IDs represent the actual assessment that a candidate is going to undergo, for example, Language Assessment or Personality Print. The assessment package ID(s) you import must be present on Harver side.
- Go to Provisioning > Managing Recruiting > Import/Export Assessment Vendor Packages
- Use the option to export the vendor packages. Hint: choose Save instead of Open.

Now modify the exported template as below as an example:

vendorId: Identifies the assessment vendor the package uses. Note: vendorId has to be the same as clientId e.g. HARVER.

packageCode: identifies an Harver assessment vacancy ID to use for the order.

shortName: Shortened name of the package for use on the candidate summary page. The complete name appears elsewhere.

Label for each locale: The combination of the country and location code for each language in which the assessment is displayed. For example: en_US, fr_FR.

The following columns are included in the template, but aren’t used. You can leave these empty:

- Now import the package in Provisioning.
Create an SFAPI Integration User
- Create API user using the article Creating an API user for SuccessFactors APIs.
- Please choose OAuth 2.0 authentication. We require the following Recruiting Permissions:
- OData API Job Requisition Export
- OData API Application Create
- OData API Application Export
- OData API Application Update
- Once complete, configure the following credentials in Harver Credential section:
- client_id
- user_id
- token_url
- private_key
- company_id
Set-up Event Notification Subscription
Grant Access to Event Notification Subscription permission to the SFAPI integration user.
- Navigate to Admin Center > Tools > Event Notification Subscription
- The first step in Event Notification Subscription is to define a subscriber. You can add a new one by clicking on Edit Subscriber and select the Add Subscriber button to configure Harver application as a subscriber.The only significant fields are the Subscriber Id and you can set them to the same value to receive notifications for events.
- Next step is to define the External Event. Click on external event tab and click Add New to add a new external event.

Subscriber: It is the same as the Subscriber Id in the previous screen

Protocol: It is only SOAP_OVER_HTTP_HTTPS

Endpoint URL: To be provided by Harver

Authentication: choose BASIC authentication and copy credentials from Harver Credentials section to configure the User and Password

Setting up Email Template to Associate with Assessment
You can create a new template or edit an existing template to add a message to your notifications.
- Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Recruiting Email Templates where you can create your own
- Click on Show Tokens and scroll down to ensure that the right tokens are showing up e.g.
- Please ensure that the correct tokens are added by clicking on Show Tokens as below:
Note: if your tokens are not highlighted in yellow, it means that the references are incorrect. A quick way to resolve this to copy and paste the token exactly as shown in “Show Tokens” page.
Inviting Candidate for Harver Assessment
You must have permissions to create/update requisitions.
- Create a new job requisition or pick an existing one. Scroll down to the bottom of Job Requisition details. Click Add more assessments.
- Choose Harver as Vendor, applicable Status, Assessment, Email Template and save the requisition. In case of New Applicant candidate will be redirected to Harver right after the application. If you want to add a pre-screen, choose a different stage and candidate will be invited by email later.
- Now Harver stage is added in flow and is ready to invite candidate i.e. when candidate applies for job, applicant will be created and Harver assessment will be triggered.
Candidate progress & results
- When candidate is transition to Harver stage in the workflow, applicant will be redirected to Harver to perform assessment.
- You will be able to see the status updated to In Progress and assessment invitation triggered on the application.
- When the assessment is completed, you will be able to see the assessment status and results updates in SuccessFactors for candidate.
KMI results, along with additional fields, can also be configured to be included in the results.
Validating Integration Setup
Please take a moment to ensure your Integration setup was configured successfully. We recommend you complete the following steps:
- Create a test Job Requisition for a position that will leverage an assessment.
- Add the appropriate Harver Job assessment to the test requisition.
- Complete a candidate application, including the assessment.
- Confirm the candidate experience.
- Review results on hiring dashboard in your ATS and confirm you see the following:
- Assessment Recommendation.
- Link or access to the full report details.
